What should i do to get more website traffic?

Begin with proper placement of SEO metatags which will allow search engines to index/spider your website on the Web and make your opening webpage searchable by Net surfers. Unfortunately, were you aware that your opening webpage contains duplicate metatags — two sets of <description> and <keywords> and within one <keywords> metatag, there are far too many entries. The number of entries within any <keywords> metatag is limited to 15 words, in plural or compound variations. And the <title> is not localized: where’s the location of "Online Shopping Mall Store," i.e., city, state, country?
Check out the following article which will shed more light on appropriate SEO application.
The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.
Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.
You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.
Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who’s my end user - is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.
A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.
Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.
Placement of Metatags:
A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 60 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.
The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually up to 41 words to form a complete paragraph which
best describes one’s goods and services. It is not merely a list.
And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.
Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query
"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It’s on the SECOND FRONT [ranked 15]!
Again, Nazos.net’s high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google’s publication guidelines.
Good luck!

What are the top home based business ideas with minimum start up costs?
Has anyone been successful with starting a moderately successful home based business with little to no start up costs? How long have you had it? And is it worth the effort?
Several months ago I was wondering the same thing. I didn’t have much money and my friend told me about Two Sisters Gourmet. I didn’t really like to cook and I didn’t have much time, but I am so glad that I decided to join. Two Sisters Gourmet is a totally different company because we actually have an interactive pary experience, where the guests become cooks for the night. Friends and family get together, choose from one of our menus, and have an exciting party cooking and socializing together. My first party I made $125 in two hours. Things have been moving up ever since. Everyone wants to have a TSG party because the food is great and it sells itself, everyone loves to eat! The cost for the kit is $140 or $80 and for every show that you have you earn 5% in business credits so that you don’t eat up your profit buying more products, it’s more than enough to cover your expenses. It is definitely worth the effort, my self esteem and determination to do better each time have changed my life and outlook on a dead end job. My website is www.twosistersgourmet.net/web/jbariteau You will not find any negative information about Two Sisters Gourmet, just research it!
What is adwords? Or what is Article Marketing?
Hello, I am learning here. I was wondering what adwords is? Or, what is Article Marketing? Do you need a blog or website to do this? Help!
Thank You,
Kaloni
Adwords and Adsense are a twins … both programs are from google
Adwords is a program that you pay google to display ads on other websites for your products (you need a website of course) so clicking on those ads will drive people and traffic to your website where they can read more about the product or service or what ever you have on your blog.
people use adsense on their website to display ads .. and they get paid when ever someone clicked on an add
I use Adsense myself .. http://adsense-online-money.blogspot.com
and I get paid for it ..
good luck
What’s the fastest way to get traffic, when you don’t have a lot of money to start with? Software? Forums?
I’m new to this internet marketing thingy, and would like to make some money and fast!
With all the gurus out there, it’s confusing. I DO have an idea for a product.
I wouldn’t mind doing some affiliating, but who do you trust? I saw a guy name Ewen Chia, and he said he has a free website builder and that it’s worth $197. BUT, guess what? I found out that it’s a freeware program and he just added buttons inside of it that sell his products. So he lied, so I’m not going to trust him.
Then, there’s this guy…I don’t know who he is…but I don’t want to waste any money. He seems genuine, BUT like I said…I have very little money & don’t want to waste it.
Could anyone check the website and let me know if it seems legitimate?
http://newbiemakesfastcash.66ghz.com/
AND/OR, give me suggestions/names as to who I could trust? I would appreciate it very much.
This stuff is confusing! Any tips on marketing for a newbie that bring INSTANT results?
Thank you,
Dave
You’re asking the wrong question? Instead of looking for the fastest way to get traffic, you should be looking for the most sustainable way to get traffic - and that’s by creating content that people want to read (requires search engine optimization skills, and keyword research skills, and even some online writing skills), and building inbound links to that content (requires hard work).
Stop looking for magic pills.
The people that sell those ebooks are great at selling ebooks primarily. The people that are great at building long-term streams of traffic, well that’s what they’re doing.
Here’s a few clues to high-traffic sites:
facebook.com
digg.com
del.icio.us
myspace
google.com
Do you think they’re following the advice in the ebook, or do you think they’re creating compelling content (and getting people to link to it, automatically).
No easy answers, otherwise we’d all be doing it.
Here ended the sermon.
Here cometh the links…
Marketing with a Blog
Blog marketing is something that most anyone that has a blog can do. However, can just anyone that owns a blog do it and do it effectively so that it gets results?
Yes, just about anyone that has a little bit of internet knowledge and common sense can market a blog so that it will get the results that you are looking for.
The simplest thing that you can do is to start one, and just journal in it for a while. This will allow you to learn just what it takes and what it is all about to keep up a blog.
And, you don’t necessarily have to make this blog available to the public. If you are uncomfortable having others read about your life then that is completely up to you.
However, doing this will let you see how it works. Then you can move on to trying to market a product or a service.
Just make sure you get in some practice with a simple blog or you may find yourself kicking yourself at a later date.
You get the best results in blog marketing when you use good, original content. With good content, you can use a blog to market and promote just about anything.
Using a blog to market products and services is not complicated. It just takes some determination and the correct mind set to make it happen.
You can’t market with a blog if you don’t get one up and running so go out and make one, already. Next will be your topic selection; also very crucial.
The proper topic would be something that is relatively low in competition and high in public interest. This formula is best for quick results.
Finding a niche that hardly no one else has touched is kind of hard to do at times, but can be done if you look hard enough.
You will need some patience and determination to get the results that you want with blog marketing. But than again, patience and determination equals success in just about anything.
How To Upsell
Here are 3 quick tips that will help you to Upsell a purchaser and Make More profits from each Sale Upselling is simply providing another service or product to a purchaser who just purchased from you. Now, at this point there are a few tips on how to upsell a purchaser most efficiently.
Ensure that the upsell is for the purchaser, not you- You have to come close to an upsell from the What’s in it for the purchaser? point of view. This means that you must take a moment to think about the purchasers possible apprehensions and concerns about the primary buy and then make an upsell element that meets up with all their needs.
Make your purchasers life easier by your upsell- If you are able to provide an upsell that make things easier to your purchaser’s life, you can make more profits from your trading efforts. For example, if you advertise/sell a dieting E-book the person may be worried about being capable of pursuing the advice. A big upsell would definitely be for an individual coaching plan. People will blissfully buy an upsell that meets their requirements.
Think beyond the box - Gaining customer’s confidence is very difficult, so an upselling plan that is beyond the box is providing an original manufactured good for the price of shipping. This is the basic process of the Launch Tree technique. You must expect the apprehensions and concerns of your purchaser before they purchase the primary product. This allows you to make an upsell element (an element presented after the primary sale) that deals with that fear.
People will happily buy an upsell that meets their requirements. The best example for this particular tip is for the weight loss instruction program you wish to sell.Google search engine gives you all the information on Upselling.
How To Support Your Downline With Your Professional Skills.
The network marketing model is based on the idea that your sponsor or up line will assist you in building your business. Inherent in the network marketing model is the suggestion that your sponsor also has the professional experience to assist you in creating a successful business. Most people who have had any experience with network marketing will tell you that they have absolutely no idea how to run their business and the failure rate supports those sentiments.
Multi-level marketing businesses are introduced as an “opportunity” which implies that there is a profitable system already in place and that all you must do is sign up for the “opportunity”. In most cases people never stop and consider whether they or their sponsors have the professional skills to actually run a successful business. There is no such thing as running an “opportunity” and therein lies the reason why network marketing businesses fail.
The multi-level marketing business has been so discredited that it has lead some to take a hard look at its core weaknesses; first and foremost, the the lack of professional skills that a sponsor can offer their down line.
I’m happy to report that progress has been made over the past few years. When people are considering a multi-level marketing business they are encouraged to evaluate the professionalism of their sponsor and up line team. It is important to find out what kind of training, education and resources are available to you.
Network marketing professionals are offering training and resources to support their down lines:
* Personal Coaching * Natural Marketing and Sales Methods * Internet Skills - Blogging & Social Networking * Website Creation and Branding * Web Seminars * Content and Article Marketing
One curious byproduct of this new professionalism in multi-level marketing is that people may join an opportunity just to have the benefits of partnering with a professional. This is very different than the old school MLM model. For those on my team who joined with an “opportunity” mind set rather than a business strategy I offer them support in other areas. I have helped my down line with business referrals, income tax tips, lease negotiations and, with my expertise in feng shui, even home improvement projects. I find creative ways to support my team members.
Whatever your experience has been, positive or negative, the network marketing industry is here to stay. It is the most profitable model to bring a product or service to market and offer attractive compensation to its partners. The good news is that the industry is attracting serious entrepreneurs whose central focus is to continually add value to their organizations.
