What is a Nuans Name Search and How is it Used

A Nuans name search report is a seven-page report which is generated from the Nuans name search system. The report compares a proposed name or trade-mark with the database of existing names that have been registered anywhere across Canada.

The Nuans name search system maintains a database of all of the names registered in Canada including trade-marks, sole proprietorships, business names, partnerships, non-share and regular share companies. The system is mandated to keep track of all names registered provincially and territorial in Canada.

The Nuans name search report will show all names similar to your proposed name in order of importance. The first being the closest conflict to the name you wish to use. You can then decide whether your name is different enough from all other names before you register your name.

If you are incorporating a company in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, in the Yukon territory and in the federal jurisdiction of Canada, you will be required to provide a Nuans name search report.

Some provinces and territories have their own name search system and they do not accept the Nuans name search report. However, it is still advisable to do a preliminary name search through the Nuans system to ensure the name is available since the Nuans system records all names registered across Canada.

In Canada certain jurisdictions only will review a Nuans prior to registering a company and they are shown below:

Ontario

Alberta

New Brunswick

Prince Edward Island

Yukon

Federal

The Nuans name search system is updated regularly with all registrations of incorporations, business names, partnership names and sole proprietorship names in those Canadian jurisdictions where the Nuans report is not accepted.

You cannot incorporate a company with a name that is exactly the same as another name already registered. When you go to incorporate a company in Canada the government must first know if that name has been taken.

The Nuans name search report is also your way of determining whether there are additional conflicts to your name. The onus will be on you to look over the entire report and make sure you are not proposing to use a name that is even close to another corporate name or trade-mark since the owner of the name could still have a claim against you if your name is too similar and his or her company name has had a large presence in the marketplace for many years.

Each jurisdiction that accepts the Nuans Name search report will have its own Nuans report. For instance, if you are incorporating an Ontario company you will be required to obtain an Ontario Nuans Name Search report. If you are incorporating a federal company you will be required to obtain a federal Nuans name search report. Despite the fact that each of these reports is different, all reports will search the Nuans database system for similar names across Canada.

Nuans name search reports are not required in Ontario and Alberta, and some other provinces when registering business names, partnerships or sole proprietorships. In Ontario and Alberta anyone can register the exact same business name or sole proprietorship as one registered already.

Notwithstanding this, you should never register a business name using a name that has already been registered by someone else. Even if you do not need a Nuans name search report to register your business name, it is advisable that you do a preliminary Nuans name search report before you register to ensure no one else is using the name regardless.

You would need to contact a search house in order to have a preliminary name search performed. It does not matter what the jurisdiction is where you live, since the search house can send you the report by email. Nuans Search Houses are trained on the best method of performing Preliminary Nuans Name Search reports in order to ensure that the most conflicts to your proposed names can be found prior to ordering a Nuans Name Search Report.

Tricks Of Improving The Programmer Resume

“How to Make HR Dump a Programmer’s Resume,” by Esther Schindler of JavaWorld was the most fascinating post I read about HR this month and surprising it wasn’t from an HR blog at all - it was from a blog for Java developers. It serves up some extremely valuable information about the relationship between programmers and tech recruiters. The post made a huge splash on the Net… it’s been reposted in countless forums because it’s just so on-the-nose. Schindler followed up a few days later with the other side of the coin: “What HR Professionals Look For in a Programmer’s Resume.” The two pieces together create a whole, and are not-to-be-missed. For more job search advice, check out JobConcierge.com

Some topics covered to make sure programmers don’t get their resumes dumped were: Having the right buzzwords, optimized for “literal” screening software. Use of business language instead of technical jargon. Know when to leave out irrelevant or obsolete skills. Use of the “in vogue” terms. Show discipline in editing the resume for length. According to Schindler Most people are capable of slanting the document to cater to one or the other, but oftentimes, applicants don’t know who is reading the resume first. It’s a real problem for techies, whose resumes are often markedly different from those of other types of applicants.

Schindler then penned “What HR Professionals Look For in a Programmer’s Resume” to to show her programming colleagues the DOs as well as the DO NOT Dos. The HR people she talked to said that the three things most often overlooked by programmers in their self-marketing are 1) specific achievements, 2) metrics, and 3) an introductory summary. This introductory summary idea is important: a lot of software people jump straight into a list of technologies or achievements without giving the reader a context of what kind of person they’re dealing with.

According to her one should include a self-rating of Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert for each technology. Don’t describe the organization; describe what you did there. If you are at all involved in recruiting tech personnel she recommends you read the following articles making the world a better place: covering work on open-source endeavors.

All this can’t help me forget a brilliant cartoon by Steve Hanov, a software developer who also creates tech-related cartoons. It has a very funny way of describing how an HR professional and a programmer will read the same resume completely differently. Instead of taking the digs in the cartoon badly, I choose to take them as a sincere comment from a techie as to what is really important to them - which is truly worth knowing. I remain confident that organizations with open communication and a commitment to great technical recruiting can value the input of both programmers and HR when it comes to building the software team. How Webinars Can Be Used As A Money-Making Tool

Webinars have been known to be one of the most effective ways of making money online. Apart from this, they can be used for just about any business. However, I usually meet a few people that makes excuses by saying how a webinar will not work for them. I like to ask them, “Do you think generating income is for you?” If they say yes, then I reply by saying that I can answer any of their objections. Some of the more common excuses I hear are:

1) Not enough time to spare. I always hear people say that they are far too busy to find time to sit down and learn how to do webinars. We all have our obligations. There are 24 hours in each day, and every hour is full of different commitments. However, learning how to do webinars is worth it. You will only gain and not lose after you have invested a small amount of your time to learn all that is involved in the process. However, I do know that we all have our moments and maybe right now is not the best time for you to actually sit down to learn something new. With that said, you have two options: you can let someone else go through the instructions, or you can hire someone else to put them in place for you.

2)Too many other projects on my plate. There is a high possibility that you are not spending time with the right people, so you have too much happening within your business. What I mean is that you are likely working with people who are “non-qualified.” These are people who are not really interested in your product and may or may not ever buy from you. One way of qualifying people is by using a webinar. Once they indicate their interest by raising their hands to be a part of your webinar, you can use this as a door to give them the information they need. In a sense, you are pre-selling them, and after that you will have qualified people. You will find that you will not be so busy anymore, or better yet you will be busy with the right people.

3) I do not like dealing with people face to face. Webinars remove the overall concern with this issue. A camera is not set directly in front of me when I am doing a webinar. To be frank, I use a phone when I conduct my webinars, and that is exactly what the experience can be compared to: talking on a phone. The PowerPoint slides that I prepare are used as a guide to help me remember and present my ideas clearly to those who are listening. If you are shy about talking in front of people, you will see that with PowerPoint slides there is really nothing to worry about. Once you can talk clearly through a telephone and can present yourself using PowerPoint slides, then you are ready to start. You will not need to know each sentence line for line before you do the presentation. You are also not tying to win an award for speaker of the year. Once you understand all that has to be done, you may even find the experience to be relaxing and enjoyable.

If after reading this article you realize that you have been making excuses and avoiding webinars, you need to ask yourself if the excuses are worth it. I will not say that webinars will make you rich overnight, but I can say that webinars have made a significant contribution to my monthly income. I will also assure you that the excuses that I mentioned should not prevent you from reaching your full potential with your business. Using webinars can definitely help you get there.

Easy Webinar Planning For Skeptics

If you were given the opportunity and knowledge necessary for implementing and planning webinars as a part of your business, would you do it? What would prevent you from taking action with webinars if you knew they would be a good investment of your time and energy? Webinars are known for their effectiveness in teaching people to do things. And planning and hosting webinars is an excellent way to teach people to do things from the ease of your home.

However, there are many reasons that keep people from taking a leap to start planning and conducting webinars. They fail to make money online for the following reasons:

1) The costs that are attached to planning and conducting webinars are too high. I will not deny that there is an initial investment in creating webinars, including the time that is necessary to learn vital facts and information; however, the overall returns are far greater than the investment. For example, our profits have always fallen between $3000-$5000 when we planned one if we have more than 50 people at the webinar. I always ensure that I do not have less than 50 people on my webinars because that means I will be targeting a smaller audience and making less money. Once you have conducted your first webinar, you will be able to see the monetary returns.

2) Only big-ticket items will be worth the effort when planning webinars. This is not true. It is possible to make a good amount on money by selling small ticket items such as e-books that cost $29. These are excellent for those that have very little start-up capital. My wife Kerry planned a webinar with her “Raising Leaders, Not Followers” ebook, which only costs $37, and she was able to make $16,000 on that webinar alone. Therefore, it is not workshops nor expensive courses that will generate high returns.

3)There are complex technical issues involved with webinars. There are certain technical issues that one has to consider when planning and running you own webinars. But this does not mean that you cannot learn the details behind them. I have a course that outlines all that is involved when planning webinars, and this information is in high demand. However, if you do not want to learn the content, then you can save yourself the trouble by having someone else do it for you. That way your presentation will be the main issue that you have to think about.

These are the reasons that most skeptics use when discussing webinars. However, if your excuses are not holding out anymore as to why planning webinars is not for you, then it is time to take action. You will be glad you did when you see the results.

Online Quick Bachelors Degree Programs - Life’s Far Too Short To Be Spent At University

One of the reasons why students are looking to speed up their education through quick online degrees is to use their new degree to boost their paycheck, but you should ask the question whether or not this is actually a smart idea in the long run.

Not everyone is a supporter of quick online degrees, as they would argue it’s too compressed to learn as well as you would in a traditional program. Many other people argue though that accelerated courses are simply the best, easiest and most convenient way of earning your bachelors degree as an adult.

A normal online bachelors degree course may take a student up to five years to complete. This is because the flexibility of online courses allows students to take as little as one class at a time so they can fit their schoolwork into their already hectic lifestyle.

But by completing a quick online degree program you will be able to cut that time down by more than fifty percent, finishing a degree in less than two years. There are completely accredited and respected colleges that offer online accelerated degree programs. Typically you’ll even be able to transfer over any existing credits you have from another schooling. You’ll be taking subjects on a year round schedule, with the payoff being that you can complete your degree in two years or less.

The biggest advantage of taking an accelerated program is of course that you can get the degree you need as quickly as possible. For most people that need stems from the desire to get a better job and earn more money in a position that requires a bachelors degree that you don’t yet have. Online degree programs allow you to pick and choose your own schedule and do the study in your own time, meaning you can still fulfill all of your current responsibilities and day to day activities if you can juggle your time well.

If you are still unsure about the whole online learning concept you should read this great article explaining why learning online is the number 1 choice For education available today.

While this is a great advantage, there are disadvantages as well. Some of these may be that with an online program you miss out on the true college experience of a traditional university. It can also be hard to compress everything into such a short amount of time. While online programs make use of new technology to offer the best experience they can, for some it doesn’t replace the face to face interaction with teachers and other students.

Taking an online program will save you money versus a traditional program. This is not to say that they are cheap, considering that anytime you get a degree from an accredited university there’s going to be a hefty bill attached. That’s why its advisable to keep your eyes peeled for fraudulent schemes on the internet that offer a degree in a few weeks or a month and want to charge a one off fee on your credit card on day one.

There are plenty of resources available to a prospective online student when it comes to picking the program that makes the most sense for you personally. Don’t make your decision based on how much something costs. Take into consideration factors such as what career you want to pursue, what kinds of courses would you like to take and how fast you can finish the degree.

Getting the quickest online bachelor degree is possible at a number of accredited universities across the country. Many of them are straight forward to enroll for and offer financing options. But remember that to get your degree as fast as possible you must get started as soon as you can by looking for a program that suits you.

John Maxted is an expert in accelerated education and he has free links to a fast bachelor degree accessible to you right now. At Johns’s site you can also access further information about online bachelor degree programs and post graduate education as well as valuable career advice and guidance.

My Forex Trend Scalper Review

Forex trading is enabling folks all around the world to make a considerable amount of nice money with minimal time spent. Although, the trick is that you ought to be an expert, don’t you?

Actually, people who have used the Forex Trend Scalper may tell you the opposite. Most people would still seek out a Forex Trend Scalper review before purchasing the product.

Scalping is a method of Forex trading where you make giant amounts of small transactions in hopes of the result that any realized gains will surpass your losses eventually. The Forex Trend Scalper functions on its own to assure that you earn money as a result of scalping. The most noteworthy aspect is the fact that it really does function on its own.

After you arrange the robot, it will execute a heap of tiny transactions on its own. Critiques of the trades carried out by the robot show that gains really do overshadow losses. With this in mind, it’s hard to call the Forex Trend Scalper a scam.

So, could you lose money? This is a very fair thing to ask when you are talking about trading. The answer to this question is of course - naturally you might lose some money.

You must know more than to believe otherwise. However, the software is set up to decrease any risk of loss.

It was designed with a convoluted algorithm that tells it exactly the trades that will be lucrative and which of the transactions will stand the risk of losing cash. It largely trades considerably more wisely and successfully than you’d have the werewithal to do by yourself.

If you’re afraid about a Forex Trend Scalper scam or ripoff, I can assure you not to ponder this. The program is real. It has offered true returns & it will continue to bring forth valid returns.

There is no way to deny that it is most likely one of the best trading robots ever made. With this knowledge, there’s nearly no reason to ponder the opposite possibility.

The Antivirus Industry

Most computer enthusiasts in the United States have heard of the leading American antivirus vendors. Producers such as Symantec, McAfee, Computer Associates, and Trend Micro. These companies have a market leading presence in the United States. Microsoft, too, has plans to become a key player in this enormous growth market.

In fact, Microsoft bought intellectual property and technology rights from GeCad software in 2003, a company situated in Bucharest, Romania. They also purchased Pelican Software, which had a behaviour orientated security product, as well as the Giant Company Software for spyware and Sybari Software, which managed virus, spam, and phishing filtering.

A great deal of debate concentrated on whether Microsoft would end up in a domineering place in the antivirus market by simply bundling its newly acquired software technologies up with its Windows operating systems at no cost. This is a similar technique that has been applied in other markets such as word processing and Internet browsers. In fact, this is exactly what did happen. Microsoft has come out with a free product called Microsoft Security Essentials.

It is too soon for me to tell whether MS Security Essentials is a world-class antivirus product, but it is not free to everyone. Microsoft has been battling Windows piracy for a while now with its Windows Genuine Advantage sneaky download and sure enough, this new product from Microsoft will only work on Windows systems and even then, only with operating systems that pass the Windows Genuine Advantage check. (Please click the link at the bottom the page to find out more).

There is nothing wrong with that per se, but it does mean that hardly anyone in the Third World will be able to make use of it, because a pirated operating system comes bundled with every computer that I have ever seen in Asia and probably elsewhere too. People save for years in order to afford a computer and the last thing they worry about when they plug it in is whether the operating system is genuine or not.

Of course there is a number of other antivirus manufacturers prominent in this market. There are many companies with great market presence in other countries that are starting to become more widely recognized. These vendors include GriSoft from the Czech Republic, Sophos from the United Kingdom, Panda Software from Spain, Kaspersky from Russia, SoftWin from Romania, F-Secure from Finland, Norman from Norway, Arcabit from Poland, VirusBuster from Hungary, Nod from Thailand and AhnLab from South Korea.

It is not yet apparent where the industry is heading and everyone in this market is confronted by a swiftly changing landscape. The amount of effort necessary to discover and deliver updates for new viruses is quite staggering. Malicious programs are getting more and more complex and the quantity of them is increasing.

Many companies may find themselves without the capital to equal the efforts of those truly determined to create chaos. The antivirus companies are getting hundreds of new samples of viruses a day! What is more, the new viruses are getting “smarter” in that they spread themselves quickly and they often hide themselves too. Some are even smart enough to move around in a system by renaming themselves in an effort to make it hard to eliminate them.

How You Can Earn Money With Online Survey Jobs

Companies who want market research data fast and accurate will pay people to take surveys for their marketing purposes. This process took months before the internet took over. Now it can take anywhere from days to a week to get the necessary information that a company needs for marketing putposes.

This kind of job, taking surveys, is perhaps the simplest way to earn through the internet. However, you can’t keep your hopes too high if you want to earn much. You can probably earn some hundreds or a few thousands every month, that is, if you are really serious about it.

The companies requiring the market research establish a contract with online survey companies willing to do the job for them. Your role is the consumer, and your opinion will matter significantly to them, so the online survey companies will be dealing with you. Because they need your opinion to carry out the survey, they will be the one to send invitations for you to take the survey and they will pay you for that too.

So your first step is find legitimate online survey jobs. Since taking surveys online for money is so popular, there are a lot of fake companies posing as survey companies. They will convince you that you need to pay them for a list of surveys or companies. You should never pay someone to work for them.

If you come across a company that is asking for money in order for you to take surveys, stay away from it. It doesn’t make sense that you would have to pay to work for someone.

Once you find these legitimate online survey jobs, you will need to sign up with them and create a profile for yourself that will put you in a certain demographic group. It’s important that you fill out the questionaire and profile completely and honestly.

Always bear in mind that the questionnaire is very crucial in earning with online survey jobs. If you fail to relay your whole profile, you may not be included in demographic groups properly. In this case, you may not get as much surveys available, and it’s really your loss.

If you do everything right, and it’s hard to this wrong, you will start to receive surveys through email. Once you receive a survey invitation, answer them in a timely fashion and return them promptly. Once the survey company can count on you to take surveys, they will send you more and more surveys. That’s more money in your pocket.

There are legitimate online survey jobs out there, you just have to know where to go. If you are thinking about online survey jobs as an easy way to make extra money, you will not be disappointed.

Why You Need An Adware and Spyware Blocker

I want to tell you the story of a law school student whose thesis was about money laundering. She often used to Google the term to come up with a useful list of online references. This proved to be useful to her and the entire procedure of writing her manuscript became easier for it. After a few months, she came across several problems like being sent to a page which was totally unrelated to money laundering every time she entered that search term.

At first, she thought it was just a hiccup in the Internet system and then she rationalized that perhaps it was a difficulty with the search engine she is using, but the persistent recurrence of the problem, made her consider that she had picked up a virus of some sort. We all detest people bugging us, but people we can fend of.

What this law student was faced with was a computer bug that she could not ward off on her own. In the first place, she was not a technologically-savvy person and in the second place she never used her laptop for anything other than academic research and the actual writing of her documents.

The situation above is not an unusual issue. There are many people who find themselves caught up in technological problems that are mystifying, but which can actually be described in two words: spyware and adware. The infamous term ’spyware’ was first coined in the year 1995 but it was popularized in the year 2000. Spyware is computer software smuggled into a personal computer in order to get hold of the personal information of the user.

This is done by logging your keystrokes, web browsing history and even scanning the user?s hard drive. It may sound like something you see in James Bond movies, but that is wrong because anyone can become a target of spyware. Spyware can be used to spy on criminals because it is helpful to society, but how what about the use of spyware to seize credit card details and the like?

What people can do to guard themselves is to block spyware and other software like it such as adware and malware. This can be achieved quite simply by deploying an adware and spyware blocker. The function of these blocking programs include clearing or disabling existing spyware or to inhibit the installation of these malevolent programs.

Spyware, adware and malware are not like viruses or worms which replicate themselves, but they cause just as much aggravation because they interrupt your computer’s activities. One of the most common nuisances caused by these programs is the slowing down of the computer which is very annoying.

In some infections, spyware is not even obvious as the cause of the problem. Therefore, it is best to have a blocker set up on your computer to avoid the infection in the first place. It is far easier to prevent than cure and it is also far better to be safe than sorry

Business Mindset for Online Marketing Success

Maintaining a positive, successful mindset is part of the foundations of a long-term, profitable online marketing business. If you have been around for a while online, or have done your research, you will know that this is a must for online success. A quality business programme or online mentor will always cover this within their training.

But let me just clarify what I am saying here.

I am not talking about adopting a general attitude of keeping a ‘positive mental attitude’ or blind belief that something will work or is possible just because you keep repeating it to yourself.

You need to keep an abundant, successful mindset. Once you have got that, you then need to maintain it.

This will work better with an example. I hate mentioning the word, but imagine you’re going for a JOB interview (I’m shuddering at the thought of that one but you may be able to relate if your still trading your time for money as an employee of a company).

Take 5 interview candidates. There is only one vacancy and all the candidates have almost exactly the same qualifications and experience.

If any of those candidates walk in to the interview room with a mindset that is not focused on abundance and success, their chances will be drastically reduced.

The candidate who walks into the room with a mindset and confidence about them that says that the job is already theirs, won’t necessarily get the job but they stand a far better chance.

You see, your expectations about any given situation will largely dictate the outcome of that situation. In other words, your Mindset dictates what is most likely to happen.

Within the online, or internet marketing industry, you can see why so many fail at building a successful online income. Approximately only 5% of people trying to build a business online actually succeed.

The majority of people who come into the internet marketing or network marketing industry have never had any experience of running their own business before. It is an industry of business owners pursued by people who have no experience of running their own business!

This is why people need to be focused and adopt the right mindset. They are starting their own business in an unknown industry - this takes commitment.

Educate yourself and do your research to give yourself an abundant, successful, business mindset, so that you are focused, motivated and constantly taking action to be a successful online marketer.

Ed Hodgson is a highly profitable online marketer and online marketing mentor with the Turn-Key Marketing Group, an online marketing coaching club that places great importance on developing an abundant business mindset.
